As our new VP of Store Design, Planning and Execution you will be responsible for ensuring our Global store (~2700 stores) network experience is meeting and exceeding world class retail standards. Additionally, securing on time and on budget delivery of store projects globally (new locations, refits and relocations), as well as F&F inventory optimization are going to be a key part of your role as we start our worldwide store refit program in 2022. 

You will report to the SVP of Network & Franchise Management and partner closely with the VP of Network & Franchise Management, the VP of Global Indirect Procurement and the Director of Reporting & Analytics in your day-to-day work. Together all of you will make individual recommendations to drive the business further while identifying cross functional synergies through your close co-operation. On top of this you will work closely with the Director of The New Store Concept and the Marketing team. You will oversee a team of 9 professionals in the SDPE field, set their work priorities and lead their professional development and growth. Further, your key accountabilities will be to:  

  • Reduce the average age of the store fleet interior, improving accuracy of inventory, speed of delivery and cost optimisation 
  • Build new processes and routines in your field to match the scale of the refit program 
  • Develop strategy and governance of inventory management 
  • Lead annual target setting process for your department and participate in Global target setting in the Commercial Cluster Growth Plan process
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual presentations, reports & analysis, plus any ad hoc projects, presentations, reports & analysis required

You are a true leader possessing outstanding commercial acumen, as well as financial and analytical skills. You have a passion for developing talent, foster a healthy performance culture and leading teams in this field in a global retail organization. You have extensive understanding of large-scale store design projects coupled with deep supplier knowledge, and you bring a solid track record of optimising and value engineering complex retail space projects. Further, you will likely: 

  • Have more than 10 years of experience from relevant industries and positions 
  • Have a master’s degree in either Business Administration, Economics, Architecture, Interior Design, Design or similar 
  • Be numbers and data driven, coupled with continuous improvement (incl. finding cost efficiencies) 
  • Have the ability to identify opportunities for optimizing processes and utilization of capacity  
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to make complex messages simple 
  • Be procedural rigorous, detail oriented and organised 
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills 
  • Be able to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative fast paced environment
  • Have knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCad, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maxwell, InDesign, Dreamweaver or similar
